SLS International's RLA/2 System Nominated for 2004 TEC Award by Leading Industry

Mix Magazine Latest to Recognize Company's Ribbon Driver Technology

SPRINGFIELD, Mo., July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SLS International (OTC Bulletin Board: SITI) announced today that the RLA/2 (Ribbon Line Array) system has been nominated for a 2004 Technical Excellence & Creativity Award in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement, Sound Reinforcement Loudspeaker Technology by Mix Magazine, a leading industry publication.

"We are extremely honored to have been nominated for this award by such a well-respected publication," commented John Gott, President of SLS International. "It's the ultimate compliment to be recognized by our peers, especially when it is coupled with one of the most prestigious awards in the industry."

The RLA/2 incorporates SLS' latest proprietary ribbon driver technology with a truly remarkable space-efficient cabinet design. Each cabinet features SLS' PRD1000 proprietary Push-Pull Neodymium Ribbon Driver for virtually distortion free and accurate high-frequency response and two 8-inch high- powered cone drivers for smooth and powerful low frequency reproduction.

The RLA/2 is now in use in Churches, Theaters, Outdoor Amphitheaters, Nightclubs and with National Audio Video Contractors and Production Companies in Canada, Singapore, Greece, and Korea, in addition to the United States. Most recently, an RLA/2 system was selected and is being used for Celebrate Brooklyn's Summer Concert Series in Brooklyn's famous Prospect Park twelve-thousand seat outdoor amphitheater.

The main premise behind the RLA/2 design is to bring SLS' advanced line array loudspeaker technology to venues where limited space and limited budgets are as much of a consideration as the quality of the sound.

Now in its 20th year, the TEC Awards were established by Mix Magazine in 1985 to honor outstanding achievements in the professional recording and sound production industry. The nominations are made by a panel of approximately 100 audio industry professionals. Qualified Mix subscribers will make the final determination via a ballot in the August issue.
