SLS International Products Featured in Two Leading Audio Industry Trade Publications

Company's Audio Speakers Continue to Receive Industry-wide Recognition

SLS International Inc. a leader in ultra-high fidelity ribbon driver loudspeakers and sound systems, today announced that its innovative and proprietary product, the LS8695 Line Source speaker, was recently highlighted in two audio industry publications, FOH -- Front Of House news magazine for live sound -- and Systems Contractor News, a magazine covering the business of sound, video and electronic systems.

Both publications are distributed internationally to audio contractors, installers, designers and engineers and focus on audio equipment used for live sound reinforcement, installation and rental. The articles, which appeared in the August editions of FOH and System Contractor News, were written about recent installations of SLS' ribbon line array loudspeaker in very acoustical problematic church environments that required sound reinforcement systems.

The systems were designed and installed by Tony Shannon of Atlanta based Vision Quest, using the SLS LS8695 Line Array system. According to the article, with respect to the new construction project at North Metro Church, Mr. Shannon stated, "When I first listened to the SLS line arrays, I knew that was the direction I wanted to go with for this building. The system is extremely HI-FI, enabling parishioners to hear high quality stereo from anywhere in the room; similar to the sound one might hear from quality home speakers in their living room. It doesn't matter whether you're sitting in front of a speaker or sitting in the back of the room -- you hear equally well."

For the Grace Fellowship Church, the 650 seat capacity room works as a sanctuary and a multi-purpose room. "Intelligibility was a big problem with the existing system when the pastor read or presented sermons," Mr. Shannon commented. "The reverberation time of the room had been tamed to about three and a half seconds, which is great if you want to use a pipe organ or a big orchestral ensemble, but terrible if you need to understand what someone is saying or using contemporary style music. Once again, the SLS LS8695 line arrays were called into use. Now it sounds wonderful. Everyone loves it."

"This is another validation that our technology and our products are solving many problems in the sound reinforcement and installation market", stated John Gott, president and CEO of SLS International. "With hundreds of thousands of new facilities being built and renovated throughout the world and the change in music styles being performed because of generation evolvement in many of these churches, schools and theaters, it is becoming evident that a new generation of speaker system such as SLS' is being sought out to solve typical room acoustic problems. The use of our line array products can reduce, and sometimes eliminate, very costly acoustical dampening processes and save the facility a great deal of money and time. Our systems sound as good or better than the best home stereo systems available. These articles confirm our conviction in SLS' technology and products as we begin our worldwide branding and marketing campaign scheduled for January 2004."
