Ypsilon Live Chooses SLS 's RLA/2 Line Array System For Tours and Installations
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., July 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SLS International (OTC Bulletin Board: SITI) announced today that Ypsilon Electronics of Athens, Greece has selected and purchased a large SLS RLA/2 touring sound system for its foray into the large-venue sound system rental market. "Ypsilon Live", a new and fast growing pro audio company, is a sister company to existing Ypsilon Electronics, well known in the Athens esoteric audio market. The newly formed Ypsilon Live focuses more on pro audio installations and concert sound reinforcement for large-scale entertainment venues in Mediterranean Europe.

"We are constantly searching for what new is happening in the audio field," said Demetris Backlavas of Ypsilon Live. "We were familiar with planar technology and had considered it for some hi-fi and professional designs in the past. At that time, line array theory had not been realized for pro use. After the large format market turned almost exclusively to line arrays, we started looking for a system that was based on planar driver technology for the high frequencies, rather than the traditional compression driver configured systems."

According to Mr. Backlavas, the SLS PRD1000 driver is a well-constructed, high-quality driver and because of its isophase line source properties it was easily chosen above others. "We are constantly gaining the appreciation and confidence of our customers with the use of the most clever and sophisticated equipment. I certainly believe that SLS Products will cover our future rental and installation needs."

"Ypsilon is the epitome of what we look for in international distributors" said Jeff Lowry Marketing director for SLS Audio. "Our customers seem to be universally impressed by the unique sound characteristics of our new products. Although Ypsilon is not our first large European customer, they are a clear indication of a growing overseas market and a trend of gaining confidence in our products. We are rapidly reaching agreements with new foreign distributors and should have representation in the thirty- billion dollar worldwide Professional Audio marketplace by the end of 2003."
