Company Overview SLS Audio is the premier manufacturer and distributor of loudspeakers in the United States. Singled out for our proprietary ribbon-driver technology, we are generally recognized as having the highest-quality speaker systems in the industry and have quickly become the company of choice for major recording studios, theaters, concert halls and sound engineers around the world.
Our superior products include professional loudspeakers, commercial loudspeakers, cinema and home theater systems, and in-wall, in-ceiling, and outdoor loudspeakers which we offer directly to recording and broadcast studios, contractor installations and touring companies or sell through dealer networks.
SLS Audio speakers were recently honored with endorsements by Super-Stars Sting and Quincy Jones and are heard in such venues as Brooklyn's famous Prospect Park twelve-thousand seat outdoor amphitheater, Trump Grande Ocean Resort & Residences, Branson Mall Theater and Universal Studios Hollywood.
Located in Ozark, Missouri, SLS Audio recently moved into its new, state-of-the-art facility. With the capability to produce over $200 million of audio products, plus has the infrastructure to support and partially warehouse product in excess of $1 billion in annual revenue, SLS's new facility is expected to significantly enhance the company's efficiency, improving its operating margins.
Company History From the early 1990's through 1999, we derived substantially all of our revenue from marketing, renting, selling and installing sound and lighting systems under the name Sound and Lighting Specialist Inc.
In June 1999, due to the favorable customer acceptance of our custom-designed loudspeaker systems, we ceased these historical operations and began focusing all efforts towards becoming a loudspeaker manufacturer, selling to dealers and contractors on a wholesale basis.
In June 2000, we introduced our Professional Line and have continued to introduce new lines of speakers through the subsequent years.
In 2004, we began marketing and selling our most recent segment, the Cinema Line.
Our products are primarily sold through a network of approximately 200 dealers for our Professional and Commercial lines, 20 dealers for our Home Theater line, and 15 foreign distributors. We recently began selling products directly through a corporate sales department that targets major "big box" retailers.
