SLS International Speakers Installed for ''The Special Effects Stages''Exhibit At Universal Studios |
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Apr 30, 2002 SLS International, Inc. announced today that Universal Studios Hollywood has installed ten of the company's T28R professional speakers for use in 'The Special Effects Stages'exhibit.
The ribbon driver loudspeakers at the California theme park's film production showroom will provide increased sound quality with 20 to 30 percent less distortion of typical studio dome and tweeter systems.
'We chose to purchase SLS'speakers due to the warmth and wide disbursement of sound achieved from the company's ribbon drivers,' said John Louis, audio engineer for Electrosonic, Inc., the firm retained by Universal Studios to re-engineer the audio, video and show control of The Special Effects Stages exhibit. 'The audience will be relatively close to the action when they enter the demonstration room, and, as a result, we thought it best to install a smooth-sounding loudspeaker.' |
